great job! just stay connected and let her wear herself out...that's about the only shot you get with a 9lb fish on a 4wt fly rod w/5x tippet, huh? bcuz you sure aren't going to force her to do things your way! lol fantastic fly angling!

It was an interesting fight. She jumped four times, and we had several people watching the whole thing. I was very lucky to land her with the little rod and tippett, and the size 10 hook in the spider. I just held on and followed for a while with the trolling motor, then finally saw that she was hooked in the corner of the mouth and felt like I had a chance. No net in the boat of course, but managed to lip her while a friend was getting a camera and scales.

John 5:24 Very truly I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
1Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.

How do you submit a record to the state? Where are the forms and what are the steps in securing the record?

I guess private and public get thrown in together when catch and release come into play. Records were meant to be broken.
It's more than the catfish would do.
