Well took my buddy Aldric, his son Greg, and my son the deckhand Zman fishing today. Well my son hit another milestone today. He caught his first limit of legal hybrids today on his own. He even took them off the hook. LMAO and took my buddies fish off for him too hahahahaha. It was good to see Don the Angler out there as well as Boston Bob. The day started off with a bang first thing at around 630 with hybrids galore. Then it slowed and to do some searching. Went away from the boat show to another spot and Don the Angler and his clients were there. Don after you left it exploded. After that died down we went searching and searching fish were scattered most of the morning for me. Then as I was ready to leave I seen there were no boats on Deadmans so I had to start a boat show lol. Only one legal hybrid there though. My buddy Aldric has never really fished before. And his son Greg never has other then with me one time last year when I took him catfishing to my honey hole. So his expectations were high. Though we did not get no 40 and 50lbs we caught 14 legal hybrids and a guestimate of about 150 sandies. Don't have a clicker

Good Job Danny, I would take that any day of the week. I need to come and fish Lewy someday.Ive only crappie fished there twice.

Danny, That spot was very good before you arrived and then slowed. Glad they showed back up. We looked around after we left and finally found some out in the middle stacked up like cord wood. We landed 10 hybrids yesterday and many large whites. The fish were not everywhere on the lake like they have been.

I didn't fish Sunday but did catch a few hybrids on bait early Saturday Morning. Looks like the early AM hybrid bite is good on LL.

Danny - that right there is a good day of fishing - if your buddy has never really fished before you should have him hooked - he'll be wanting to go all the time now !

If you are not careful, there will be a boat show everytime you head to the lake. Guess I just need to make sure I am in my boat when on LL and not yours...lol
I know you can catch fish on LL, it was you that got me started fishing the lake. If you guys need someone that can find fish for you to potlick off of, catfishd might be worth keeping your eyes on.. lol Just look for the long fast CC..hahaha
See you this wednesday and you might as well take the next few days off of fishing to get ready. We are about to catch more fish in five days than most people catch in a lifetime. Cant wait....

Oh I am resting and not fishing until we arrive. I have no doubt we will jack them up. When do we ever go down there and NOT catch a boat load EACH outing And no women or children to slow the motion down either

I was also pleasantly surprised on Sunday morning by the active Hybrids. I was expecting that we were in the usual June transition over to the late morning top water pattern, and Hybrids only consistent around and under the schooling fish. Turned out the Hybrids were thick on the Gravel pits from first light until 8:30am. We caught over 20 legals on live bait during that time along with some huge sand bass. Turned out the top water bite never materialized and I was off the lake with my kids by 9:30am.

BTW, also picked up 2 more Hybrids on Twin Trees on the way off the lake around 9:00am.

Brian, are you anchoring in the gravel pits off of teh Tribute golf course or drifting? Aren't there flooded timber stickups around there? What depth were you fishing if you don't mind?
