Was told the other week that Lake Conroe now enforces a speed limit on the lake at night. Was just wondering if anyone nows anything about this and if so what is the speed to stay under?

Thanks

The speed limit at night time is no faster than it is needed to maintain your boat on plane. I keep my speed under 35 mph and have never had a issue. But keep your eyes open on that lake at night .....bunch of crazies out there on the week ends.

Land was created to provide a place for boats to visit!! It is when pirates count their booty that they become mere thieves. ARRRRRR....

When your running lights are burning is considered night or lowlight conditions.

the city of san angelo tried to impose a speed limit years ago on Lake Nasworthy. TPWD shot it down. they said the cities dont have the right to set limits on TPWD controlled waters. they can however set no wake zones etc. thats been a few years but think it is still the case.

Conroe wouldn't surprise me if they did have a law, I'm sure they don't tell anyone they would rather just pull you over and ticket you. Just like the bridge I don't know anymore but there use to not be NO WAKE bouys or signs at one point but they enforced it. GW said it was a law that you couldn't run under a bridge in Texas but we all know thats not true. I would try to find out, I know in Missouri Table Rock had a speed limit of 35 at night.
