Hey all...

so we had a smaller group session at Lake Tawokoni trying to catch some in the 20s, and possibly 30s.. with just whiterockjesse, the legend buffalomanchris himself, and myself... we couldn't get the prime spot near the tip of the peninsula there, but instead managed a great swim we will designate as the "weed patch".. as it was thick to the right/left, and it seemed like jesse would get hung up to the left there several times, and chris' carp would take off into the weeds to the right

anyhow, we basically get there around 7:30pm and setup... it was freakin hot/humid with hardly any breeze and bugs galore..

Jesse got the first run and pulled in this nice 15.4#

I followed later with this 13.0#

Jesse then caught a nice 11.61#

Here's another one for Jesse.. I think this one is 11.04#

Buffalo PB: 37 lb
Common Carp PB: 25.48 lb
My wife's common carp PB: 31.12 lb

Chris started off slow, but then he really started to haul them in... cris had a 16.30#, 9.98#, and 5 smaller carp that were probably under 5# (didn't bother weighing them)... I think he lost at least 3 to the right in the weeds/came off hook.

Chris had the big fish for the session at 16.3#, until Jesse caught a 16.8# at the very end as they were packing up (I wasn't there to take a pic of that one).

Jesse by far had the most action on his method/maize... 15.4#, 11.61#, 11.04#, 8.24#, 1 under 5#, and the last 16.8#

I just had the 1 carp, and at least 6 or more catfish (must've been my method mix that included calf manna)... and had 2 nice sounding runs that I didn't get the hook set on

Chris definitely picked up the action later and managed the nice 16.3#, 9.98#, and a bunch of smaller carp~

All in all, a great session... was great to share the bank with Jesse and to meet the legend and ol'timer chris in person finally~

Nice fish guys! I haven't been to Twok in a while, I need to get back out there. There are some huge buffs, too.

Zach, I don't think any one we know has caught a 30 out of Twok yet, at least none that have been made public, hehe.

But I'm sure there are some in there, we've had some 20's, and just like some of our first sessions at Fork, tons of Mid-teens. Quite a few 30's have now come from Fork, I think it's just a matter of putting in the time at Twok.

well now its my turn, after talking to jesse i wanted to get to whiterock about 4pm so i rushed to get my gear loaded up and pick up a friend in cedar creek, as i was loading i tripped on a vine root sending me head first into my big green wagon and my bad foot straight into the ground, i landed on my left foot bending my toes up past the point of movement, it hurt so bad, felt as if i had ran over it again lol, so yea there must have beed something in the air.

jesse did show me up in the end catching that 16 that was a few ounces bigger than mine, i didnt care, jesse worked his butt off netting fish in swamp land area we fished, the action was fast and i really wasent ecpecting much, but i guess that goes to show you that if you stay postive you will catch. i really wanted the point but it was full with campers so i found this pasture with a table and fairly good space. i think there is a few 30's in there but they are hard to find, lots of teeners and babies to get past. my best carp from there is 18 and some change.

here is jesse fish taken with my iphone. he got this fish on potato chip method mix, wth jesse lmao....
