The Parks and Wildlife manual says jug lines are to be marked with white free floating devices for non-commercial use and orange for commercial use. I can't find a white pool noodle. Apparently nobody else can either. I noticed a great number of orange, green, and yellow pool noodles floating in EM. Has anybody asked a game warden how he views this? He sure is gonna be busy trying to enforce this law in EM!
Started out with nothing and still have most of it left.

I wrapped all my jugs/noodles with white duct tape. Works great. And you can write your info on the tape with a sharpie....

Richard, I do the exact same thing as Kyle does. One year I actually bought a commercial license so I could use the orange pool noodles which are available. Not really worth it when you can buy the white duct tape and wrap them.

In regards to how the GW interprets it... WHITE is the only legal color and they will take up others. On busy weekends and at busy lakes, I think they are just preoccupied with boat regulations. I have seen them pulled up by GWs on RC, CC, FF, and Limestone. Also, make sure you have name, address, and current date on there too. It's also important to know exactly how many hooks you have in the water. With sometimes 4-5 hooks per jug line, you can get over the limit pretty quick. They don't check all those things that often, but if they do it could be costly! Here is the link to SSI where you can order the white ones. I prefer the larger 4" size. http://ssicm.com/pdf/SBR.pdf

I purchase mine a Lowe's(white duct tape). Another advantage of the wrapped noodle is that it helps stop the normal flaking you get after a while from the bare noodle(!!!).

I have a several jugs that were made using the backer rod. Now, these are several years old and have been used many times. However, after long exposure to the sunlight and water, they begin to flake apart. I have taken these and wrapped them also in white duct tape and the problem was resolved.
