Triple digit heat and plenty of humidity ended our day after only an hour or so, but had to stop for a shot of this...

Nope, not some exotic location far far away... That's Lake Fork! If you're the two guys posing for the shot, THANKS!

Nice pic. It did get warm. Think I was close to heat exhaustion after two days of fishing in that heat.

Nice pic but those water hyacinths are non native and invasive and are bad news for the lake.

Thanks for the info, Epic. I've just moved here from Colorado, and knew nothing of this issue. After doing some research the message is clear, however, I haven't found an example of a lake that has actually been devastated by water hyacinths. Are there situations where this has happened, or are we just making sure it doesn't?

I believe TPWD is monitoring the situation. The giant salvinia is a major concern right now.

great shot

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Great pictures, what camera took the shots??

They will spray if enough people complain, usually right before a big tournament---never fails.

Looks to be right next to the 514 bridge in Birch Creek.
