Triple digit heat and plenty of humidity ended our day after only an hour or so, but had to stop for a shot of this...  Nope, not some exotic location far far away... That's Lake Fork! If you're the two guys posing for the shot, THANKS!

very hot! I was out there most of the day until dark on saturday and half a day on Sunday.

Nice pic but those water hyacinths are non native and invasive and are bad news for the lake.

Thanks for the info, Epic. I've just moved here from Colorado, and knew nothing of this issue. After doing some research the message is clear, however, I haven't found an example of a lake that has actually been devastated by water hyacinths. Are there situations where this has happened, or are we just making sure it doesn't?

I believe TPWD is monitoring the situation. The giant salvinia is a major concern right now.
