Hi everyone! My step father and myself are both new to fishing and will be getting a half day guide on Cedar Creek as a Fathers Day gift to be used in the very near future.

What fish would you suggest going after? Obviously, that will have an effect on what guide we choose. We really just want to learn some good basics and hopefully catch a few 5 plus pounders.

So, what fish would you suggest going after and what guide is recommended that works on Cedar Creek?

Thanks for any advice/tips/info!!

Michael

I would also throw out Bill Seaman for Whites. Guy Skinner and Ernest for crappie(if Ernest still guides).

Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

Thanks to you guys that recommended my guide service. All the guides listed are excellent guys here on the forum.

For those of you that dont know, I operate a full time guide service here on Cedar Creek lake. I only guide on this lake. I have fished the lake about 300 days a year for years now. I guide for white bass & crappie mainly. Please check out my website I keep pictures of nearly every trip I run. The album has about 50,000 hits now.
Thanks again
