I spent a couple days fishing lake Conroe and did ok on blues and channels. However, the water is really getting hot, and the air temperature is even hotter(98). My next trip is planned for night fishing and I am going to target a big flathead with rod and reel. I plan on using live bream and large, live goldfish. I plan on fishing an area with lots of tree stumps in around five feet of water. I will be by myself(and my dog)and I will be fishing four rods. Any advice?

that should be a good spot for night fishing.
Look for an area that is deeper around that same spot, maybe with some really good timber or more stumps.
