Yesterday evening I rode over to see what the lake looked like after all that rain. It was still very high and muddy but I noticed huge schools of shad in front of the old boat houses. Every once in a while there were pretty big surface strikes. What do you think? Bass in the muddy high water or nice size cats?

I had seen the gar starting their spawn a few weeks back so you might be right. The size of the strikes made me wish I had brought along a top water.
