Business is bringing me into Richardson for a week long stay. I would like to have a alternative to staying in a hotel in town when there are two lakes near by.
Would anyone know of a cabin/trailer rental on the southwest shore of Lavon? I have been told that Ray Hubbard has nothing to offer but it never hurts to ask.
By the way, nothing fancy. A place to park the rig during work and S, S, and F when I am off.
Lets hear from you as I leave on the 6th of June.

What kind of "rig"? If your looking for a spot to camp, with or without electricity, Lavon has some good spots. Not sure about cabin or trailer rentals though.
anthonyhicks101 for president! Greatness right there.

My rig is a Skeeter and it is the reason for trying to find a place to stay on or near the water. So it is all I can pull for the trip and still need a place.

I don't know of places to stay on Lavon. There are some decent campgrounds, but no cabins or anything that I am aware of. You will probably have to find a motel.
Here is a pretty good option for you that would keep you from pulling your boat through anymore traffic than you have to and give you a decent place to leave it while working.
A new Best Western (Wylie Inn) just opened a few months back in Wylie. It is on 78 on the North End of town across from the Walmart and city hall/police dept complex. You should be able to get in and out of it ok and it looks like there would be enough room and it should be a reasonably safe place to park your boat and trailer while you are in Richardson. For a ramp, you could make the 5-10 minute drive up to Lavonia Park and use the Laviona South Ramp. It is a free ramp with a good dock. The turn off to the park is on 78 in Lavon almost directly across from Dollar General. Another good ramp option would be Mallard Park which is just a couple miles further North, just off of 78. Mallard is not quite as nice of a park, but it would keep you out of the wind, if the wind was up. Also if you took that option, you could head down 78 and hit George Bush and be over in Richardson probably within 15 minutes and you may find a quicker route. You also could run over to Ray Hubbard from Wylie though you might have to fight a little traffic.
