C-rig brush hog or senko and spoon mostly. In certain places I throw a 5/8 - 3/4 football head jig or a drop shot but thats usually on the deeper channel swings where there is less brush in 55ft or so.

I'm not a c-rig expert by any means but I know a few guys that are pretty good out there and they told me if its not too windy go with a lighter c-rig weight. 1/2 oz or so and slowly drift the channels. The lighter weight kinda floats through and over the trees on the bottom better than a big one. I prefer the football jig deeper, but I haven't been out in about a month so I don't know where the thermocline is. I'd hate to tell you to fish that 45-55ft depth not knowing if there are fish there right now, but I'll be out this weekend trying to find out for myself smile

I T-rig with a 4/0 ewg hook, about 3ft leader usually to start with but shorten or lengthen if not getting bit and fish it slow. I like to either drift slowly or somtimes I'll tie up in some brush near the bank and throw out bringing the bait up the points.

I'll be there this weekend probably night fishing though - I don't know if I want to be out in the 100 degree weather predicted for saturday. Red/Silver basscat if you see me hollar and I'll let you know what is, or more likely isn't working for me. haha

Bump on the c-rig and football jig. Fish the lightest weight the wind will allow. It can be a painfully slow way to fish but the payoff is worth it. Just have to wait until it really gets down to the bottom of the trees and hang on. Drop-shot gets alot of bites but I seem to lose about half the ones I hook. The top-water bite has been pretty good about 7pm until dark around heavy cover.
