While looking for beds earlier this spring, we round the corner and find a nice size lizard out enjoying the warm sun. (just below the grass line). Although you can't see it, there was actually a fairly decent fish locked on a bed just to the left but that's another story. Close UP!!!! Well this is where you begin to wonder is he's hungry and then you realize your holding your trusty flip-in stick and the enemy of all spawning bass the elusive white lizard. Only one way to find out..... c a r e f u l l y... put it right on the nose.... Then all of a sudden... SNAP!!!!!! "Holy $hit, I'm out of here!!" said the little white lizard, as he proceeded to walk on water back to the boat... Well... the little white lizard is not going to give up so easy.... Peak a boo, I see you...... Can you see me now?? How bout now?? Well, let that be a lesson to you. East Texas gators WILL put the smack down on the little white lizards if given the opportunity. Adios ol' pal.... See ya next year!!!! One of God's truly majestic creatures... Oh, I almost forgot. The little white lizard is doing fine... He definitely had to clean out his shorts after this little misadventure but he's fully recovered and counting the days until next years spawn. THE END

I used to do this in Florida with rapalas. If you float one right in their nose, they'll grab it! Never actually hooked one, but I have many lures with holes in them. None of the gators I used to mess with were nearly that big. 4-5 footers, that was it.
Cool pics!

MMMMM...fresh gator!! Fried gator, gator sausage, steamed gator, gator in a light garlic butter sauce... Oh yeah, it's lunch time.
All fish are caught and released...some in the water and some in the grease.

I must watch to much TV. I could just see the gator getting mad and going air born to get you...........or at least trying to eat your TM.
