Had one in my chin and several in my hand. Carry a 20 gauge sterile needle in the plastic pack (throw syringe away)with you, insert needle thru hole over barb of the hook and remove hook.

Yes, except I wasn't fighting a fish. I was just cinching down a knot on a skitter prop. I wasn't paying much attention and something must have sliped because next thing I know I have one BURRIED in the pad of my thumb. It went in all the way down to the curve at the bottom of the treble. It also went in at a right angle. I was out in the middle of nowhere on a camping trip so I didn't really have the best supplies. I did find a small rinkydink first aid kit in the emergency car repair pack that was in the back of my truck. There was a big roll of guaze that I used to bite down on and a pair of plyers that used to yank the hook out as hard as I could from the back, no worrying about what the barb would do. I pulled as hard as I could and it didn't go anywhere. After thinking about what I should do for about 30 minutes. I finally twisted and twisted until I could get the point to pop out about a half inch up on my thumb. I snipped it off and pushed the hook back through, and then I just laid there on the ground and bled for about 15 minutes. The think is that my wife was sitting about 10 feet away when I first got the hook stuck. It hurt so bad, but I managed to keep quiet because I knew she would freak out if she saw what happened. With the hook stuck in my thumb and the rod in the other I told her I was going fishing and then walked down the path into the forest to do my 'surgery'. I knew then I could get some alone time. This happened this year at the beginning of April, but I can't even tell where the hook went in now.

I had a dang 12" bass put on in me last year on lake Nacogdoches. Like a fool I'm following him all over the boat hollaring for him to stop. I felt silly. For some strange reason it backed right out on the first try.

I havent done it with a treble, but i have ran a hook through my finger before. No fun. Had to clip the barb off to pull it out.

Never had a hook bury in me yet.

I put a hook into a pelican once. Reeled him in got the hook out. Had a towel over his head during project operation. Well hook came out nicely, towel feel off his head. That dude thanked me with a Pelican chomp across my forearm. That hurt more then the hook I am sure. To top it all off he hung out on the peir and begged fish for a couple of hours.

I had two hooks of a treble in the back of my neck once. It only took a hospital visit to get them out.

none so far.... been one lucky son of a gun.

Did that on Possum Kingdom several years ago during a tournament. Spotted bass went ballistic on a Pop-R. Took and rain the hook on through and had Steve Holland clip it off. He had a wet/cold towel ready for me. I thought he was going to pass out. I was fine once he clipped the barb and I could back it out. Told him to use the towel on his self.
