what has been your biggest catfish of any kind or sort you've caught there near party island? i know party island has tons of cats around it i've hooked into several 10+lbs channel cats there and i know a few places where there are deep holes and hooked into some on cut shad in those holes that just hit so hard the rod would either bend all the way to the butt of the rod and i'm sitting holding on for deer life and its such a big tug it's possible to have been towed for a mile before she'd ever think of giving up and if anyone who has a big boat and wants to experience this for yourself send me a pm, cause i can put you on fish just the right size to eat and some that will get you scared.... i've had them on 5-7" bluegill on trotlines that have straightened the bigger trot line hooks but right now is the time of year they hit for me so pm me if you're interested in giving it a try.

Go up to the Marshall Creek or Denton Creek cove, get in 2-5' water and you will get what you need.
