Going to Lake Conroe today for two days and nights of catfishing. Gonna put out juglines and then rod and reel fishing. Using for bait: cubed beef hearts, shrimp, liver, live bream, and carp or buffalo and shad if I am lucky with cast net and fishing for buffalo and carp. I am super excited about getting the opportunity to go. Will give an honest report on Thursday night.

Can't wait to hear from you.
If you get a chance to see this during your trip, I've heard they have been catching shad close to a bridge on 105. I believe it is near Walden. I have not been there myself, but a friend who fishes Conroe told me that over the weekend.
