You graph a large school of fish putting up some great looking arcs in about 40-50 ft down over a 60ft bottom. The graph also shows small returns that could be scattered baitfish. What technique and bait would you use to approach these fish...or would you even bother with them at all?

I catch them regularly on Rayburn in 35-40'but not suspended. I would expect your suspended fish to be stripers, being that deep. Jigging spoons or maybe a suspended Drop Shot could work. Or if all else fails- Troll a giant Hellbender on wire core line!

Drop shot...not that it is my style of choice, but your scenario would probably dictate it best.

It all depends what lake, time of year, and predominate bass species is in the lake. For example I was on Beaver lake in the fall and the bass(mostly spots but a few smallies and blacks mixed in) were suspended 40+ foot deep it the tree tops. A drop shot or spoon was the best way to catch them. That is how the even was won.
