take it to gander mnt and have them put line on for you, it will really work a lot better. or if you like to do it yourself, put it on the same way it comes off the spool.

Just put it on. Paying someone is a waist. Most baits (especially small ones used on a spinning outfit) will right the line. First cast on ANY reel will redo what you did when putting it on. Line twist on a spinning reel is inevitable unless you use a swivel. Braid works well too.

put it on the same way it comes off the spool. Also use a soft cloth with line conditioner on it to hold tension on the line when reeling it on. After every cast close the bail with your hand and not the reel handle. If you start to get any twist while fishing, close the bail with your hand and then pull the line so you hear the drag. If you do not re-spool often , get a ball bering swivel tie it to the end of your line, and then to something in the yard. Stretch the line lightly, and reel it back up. Hope this helps.

I use Berkely 100% flouro alot on my spinning rods. I always lay my spool label up and reel it on. If it starts to get tangled around the tip you know your doing something wrong.

Use the line lube on a cloth like instructed above. Sit the spool on the floor in front of you label up and load the reel so that the line comes off the spool counter-clockwise. If you stop the line when the bait hits the water with your index finger by touching the edge of the reel spool, you won't get tangles if you close the bail by cranking.

Place the spool with the label up on the floor and use some line resistance like has been suggested on this thread with your finger or reel magic on a rag, etc. Watch your line and if it starts to kink, then flip the spool over label down on the floor. That should get it done.

Use power pro or if you are fishing out of a boat, tighten the drag and let line out while ideling. Let the line stretch and get the twists out. Reel line back on the spoil using the tension from the boat at idle, making sure you are not reeling against the drag. This packs the line on tight with no twists.

I found the best way was to pull out and cut off 50 yds of new line in the yard or driveway. Take off that amount from the reel and splice the new line to the reel. Next reel up the line laying on the ground but put a soft cloth around the line as you reel it in. You can't beat this way to get the least coils and I usually tie the end of the line to the trailer and give it a good pull for an extra measure. However I now use braid on all my spinning reels with 15 to 20 feet of mono or flor and splice it together with a uni-uni knot.

I don't know if it's correct or not but it works for me. The way I have always done it is stick a Bic pen through the middle of the line spool. With socks on, stick the pen in the webs of the socks between your big toe and middle toe. Thread the line through the eyes/eye if your rod breaks in half. Flip the bail and tie line to the spool and start reelin. Control the tension with your big toes.
Did this the other night and fished today. I don't remember noticing any twisting.

I use one of the Berkley line stations and have little or no issues with twist. I also close the bail by hand and use 4000 series reels. Even on windy days I don't have problems.
