Mife wife told me about the news, but for all yall that fish Brushy Creek, a sinkhole just drained it. I hope the situation dones not ruin the fishing for too long.

Are you talking about the actual creek? Where is this sinkhole. I just fished the creek this evening, seemed normal to me.

It is now! It just has a giant deep hole in it!

Does anyone know where the hole is? There is a large cave just below the dam at Veteran's Park in Round Rock that has been there for years. We used to fish there as kids.

I crossed Brushy Creek at Great Oaks at lunch and drove past Veteran's Park today and everything looked normal.

I saw the creek disappear down that hole below the dam at veterans park the last 2 years. It is nothing new. The water swirls down this big hole like a toilet whenver the flow gets low enough. It usually happens later in the summer. If you go far enough downstream, then it resurfaces.

We always called it a cave - a really big hole in the ground. When its dry you can crawl to China.

Y'all might find this amusing - yesterday I read this thread about Brushy Creek disappearing so I searched the internet for answers. When I could have just walked out the back door of my office and looked to see it was still there. Our property borders Brushy Creek in Round Rock.
