Does anybody know how to get in touch with the jawtec worm company? They were in Forney or Terrell Texas. I don't know if they are still in business.

Long gone. Bruce the company owner still has all the molds, equipment and boxes and boxes of baits but has no interest in getting back in to business. He has tried several times to sell lock stock and barrel(name, copy rights, equipment) but the deals have all fallen through.

Bruce is a great guy and had some good products in that time frame, I used a lot of them. Soft plastics have evolved a lot since those days.

Bruce Benedict still lives in Forney and serves on the Forney school board. A few months ago my son and I had a nice sack and finished sencond in a tourny. We were bragging to our buddies at church the next morning until the pastor used one of Bruce's old mounts - a 13lber - as a sermon illustration.

We still have a whole box of old Jawtec worms. Great stuff. The bloodline worm with the u-tail is my favorite, but unfortunately they have all been used.

My daughter plays softball with his daughter. I always get him started on fishing stories from the old days. Love to here about the old B.A.S.S. days and Anglers choice. Alot of people dont know what a great fisherman this guy is!

Google his name and add Forney ISD. You can get it there...

Bruce was one of my first sponsors. He is a super guy. He still has his molds in storage and has talked about returning to the business one day. Yes, he did serve on the school board in Forney. He became very involved with his daughters softball and this may have led to his closing. It is hard to server two different things that demand lots of time. I caught many big bass on his Wacky Worms and still have many left. They just smell like an old rubber tire now and hard to catch anything with that smell.
