I was reading on here a week ago and a guy (Jons3825) said he had just become a certified diver wanting to know if anyone had anything the needed recovered so I messaged him and he and his friends jumped at the opportunity to help, but now I cannot find the info so here it is..

I THINK Sometime last year a family was out on Lake Fork and something happened and somewhere during the trip their daughter was lost. I believe the family posted on here about dropping a camcorder overboard which had the last day of them together on film. They said it was a long shot but said it was by one of the 515 bridges.

If anyone can find a post and post a link i'd appreciate it. Or tell me who it was so I can message them for more details and get them together with Jons3825 and his friends who said they were willing to come up and try to help. Thanks

-Evan

The accident was on the west 515 bridge. on the southeast corner. There have been several divers go into the area attempting to locate the camera bag, but maybe they will be the lucky ones. If I can give anymore info let me know.

I would be willing to try, I have been a diver for about a year or so and in trying to get all my certs to get to public safity daver some of the classes I have to take include search and recovery, nav, limited viz and night diving. I just completed the final dives a few weeks ago. It is also a great way to get down and see how the fish are hanging or wher they hide and where little caves and holes are underwater. Can anyone with info on this put it on a msn or bing map and post the link? If no one has anything next weekedn I might try to get it done depending on the weather.

My sister and I were the 1st ones on the scene and if someone gets a group together to go out there I would be more than happy to take you over to the spot that the vehicle went over so you will have a good starting point.

Are we taking in the 515 / 17 area? Like close to where the free ramp is right by froggie d's? That is a big area.... any contact for the other divers or anyone that might know? To rule out areas, if not it will be a long long day searching in 5-10' depending on viz intervals 200' at a time.

it is that side but the accident was on the bank across the lake. The car was in about 15 ft of water and was on the concrete.

2 divers are confirmed, waiting on a few others to be in or not. Me and my dive buddy are in for next week depending on the weather, wind, etc. Sense there is no tank fill places out there we are going to bring 3 tanks each maybe 4. And depending on how it goes maight make a 2nd trip after refills. I knwo I can get them filled in terrell both days not too far form hwy 17 and 80.
I will post it on this topic next week as more confirm or not. Lets all pray for good conditions and good times to help this family.

Got some info for you from T.J.Henshaw from the Lands End F.D. on getting your tanks filled. You can call Kim Conoway at the Yantis Volunteer Fire Dept.. Tell her what you are doing this for, and she can help you get the tanks filled. They just got their new system in that will fill compressed air bottles. You will need to give her the PSI info for your tanks to make sure. I believe T.J. said it would go to 2200psi. Her #s are 903-383-2051 or cell # 903-335-4336. This will only be about 5 miles away. You can also fill them at the Mineola F.D. about 20 miles away, they have a dive team. Hope this will help you out, and also wanted to let you know there are some flyers out here that state the color of the camera bag and some more info. I will try and get this for you. Sure would like someone to find this for them.

I will check into that. I knoew my tanks get filled to 3000 psi from the dive shops. If they can not do it and the FD will not then I can go to clear springs park in Terrell. I will prob be camping out there sat night anywhy. We are going to try to log some dives sat too out there. Thank you everyone for helping me get the info needed, Again lets all keep the family in our paryers and that we can all come together and help them with this. Also this topic got moved so I will try to keep it bumped up to get maxium exposure.
