I will be heading to Lake Tahoe around Aug. 20th. Has anyone fished there during the summer? Any tips or suggestions?

This lake is pretty tough for a shore trip. Most success comes from downrigging very deep. There are a lot of small steams that hold a lot pan sized rainbow and brook trout if you go ultra light. There is a major tackle store over on the Calif. side of South Tahoe on highway 50 that can help.I dont know if you can pull up the western outdoor news magazine but they have excellent weekly reports.
