well im planning on catfishing in the guadalupe soon and was wondering if i out out chum would it help at all ot just wash away in the current?

It will work better than on a calm body of water.....the smell will travel and draw fish in from greater distances. I dunno the strength of the current you will be fishing but try to keep a majority of it in a calm pocket where you know it will sink. GOOD LUCK TO YOU MAN!

This time of year you can tear the channels up quietly dropping blood bait under a bobber in the shady holes and stump piles near the bank. Even during the hottest part of the day. They love the shady undercuts and can easily be enticed out. There's a good commercial blood-bait made over in east Texas that has chicken feathers mixed in for holdability to the hook, can't remember the name of the maker.

At night...set a few limb lines with big perch baits. Flathead city! What a ball!
