I sure hope it works, Caddo is a absolutely beautiful lake, it is one of my favorites. Spent the weekend down there over Easter.
I hope they can come up with something, I know that stuff is bad in certain areas.

Seeing if it is useful/feasable in removing Giant Salvinia and Water Hyacinth... Does this harvester look like a conveyor belt?

Yes, gathers the weeds, runs them up a conveyor into a hopper...

I have a weed harvester. Some people call it a 3/4 ounce rattle trap

They should gather that stuff, pile it in a huge container, get ethanol from it, and sell it to recover the cost. Or at lease use it for fertilizer.

John 5:24 Very truly I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
1Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.

The main concern they need to have is preventing "shredding" or "breaking" the plants into smaller pieces. Once they are broken they reproduce like germs. Using the harvester could potentially make the problem worse. Smaller pieces getting into and around the cypress trees where the harvester cannot get them out.
It seems to me the harvester is going to have to be a continuous thing. Could get expensive. It is definitely not a "cure".

they should just take a couple THOUSAND Talapia out of Calaveras & Braunig and turn'em loose in Caddo. Then call in the Commercial Fishermen and turn'em loose on the Talapia once the weeds are GONE.........
