This last Sunday I got my Iphone wet at Bridgeport. Monday evening I go and spend half my left leg to replace it. While im at the AT&T store the guy talks me out of another $50 for a case thats supposed to be water resistant. He tells me that you could dunk your phone as long as you quickly removed it from the water and it should be ok. I though what the heck! Well this morning I head out to Worth to mess around for awhile. Ive caught a few fish and am having a decent day, until I decide to switch rods. I accidently knocked one of my new Hendrix rods overboard. I jumped down on the deck and reached as far as I could with no luck. I then find myself falling overboard aswell. KERPLUNK!!!!!! Wallet,Keys,Phone and all! After I climbed into the boat the phone worked for about 10 seconds!!!! I still havent been able to retreive the rod either!!! realmad bang flame

Yo!!! Let me give you a clue....

First thing you do when you board the boat is empty your pockets and put all that stuff in the glovebox. I know you got one!

I use a Plantronics bluetooth and leave the phone in a zip-loc. Lost many a phone now I just lose earbuds.

Stress less, relax more. Go fishing.

You might try attaching a red and white cork to your phone...

or you could empty your pockets and put it in the glove box, like K.D. said

I put my phone in my dry box and it solves two purposes:

1. I don't get it wet (like I have done in the past)
2. It is a great excuse not to hear my wife calling me on it wondering when I'll be home!!!

I feel your pain, trashed mine at Whitney on the 16th when I fell in. Bad thing is I tried todry it out using a bowl of rice and scratched my SIM card so not only did I fry the phone but I lost my cotacts as well. On top of it all I didn't even get a keeper to weigh in and the guy I was fishing with won the tournament. Talk about a bad day. bang
