How far would you have to go to catch tuna chasing shrimp boats?
Is this the right time of year for that? We will be running out of Freeport on Friday.

i dont think the shrimp boats have started running again, yet. last time i read anything, the NMFS was gonna release them to start shrimping again sometime this month.
to chase tuna, i have always read you need to target the boats sitting in 200 feet of water or more.

Shrimpers won't run until July 1. Depending on where you leave out of on the Tx. coast you may have to run 40 to 60 miles before reaching 200 feet of water.
