I am currently running a 4 blade prop on my merc 225 efi. Would a 3 blade prop produce more top speed??? I currently run at 63mph.

james, yeah i've always heard 3-blades get better top end, while 4-blades provide better holeshot.

the experts should chime in shortly...

it all depends on the boat and setup.

however yes, a 3 bladed prop is more effecient than a 4 blade prop.

only difference is a 4 blade "usually" handles better therefore allowing the driver to stay into the throttle at higher speeds without the boat chine walking as bad.

the fury is a good choice for an all around prop.

Now I'm running a mercury marine trophy plus 25p 4 blade stainless.
What kind of increase in mph should I expect by changing the prop??

If the Fury has a better holeshot and better top end, that might be what I'm looking for..
