I am currently running a 4 blade prop on my merc 225 efi. Would a 3 blade prop give me more top speed ?? Currently runs about 63mph..

How big a boat? I get 63 mph w/ my old '98, 18'7"Champion and a 175 Merc. w/ a 3 blade.

20 foot ProGator. When I bought the boat years ago, new, it had a 3 blade prop, 1st time off the trailer the prop was spun. I took it to Travis boats in Lewisville and they gave me a 4 blade prop for it. Just wondering if the 3 blade would go faster...

To answer your question it is YES if you have the right one, probably a Tempest Plus 25P..........

There is a good prop man on this forumn, I can not think of his name, he should chime in here shortly...

Progator If your running a 25p throphy you should use a 26p three blade tempist steve will stir you in the right direction you should go .
