I haven't been to that lake in like 15 years.
But when I did go I was catching them on Golden Shiner Bass Assassins. We rigged them weightless on an Owner 5/0 Offset hook and 10# line.
One morning they wanted it on a slow fall or twitched off the bottom. The next day they wanted it ripped across the top.
This is the time of the year to try this.
Try it around boat docks and tree tops.

I was told that the fish have recovered extremely well from the golden alga. In fact, they have recovered so well that the WTTT will be having one of our tournaments there next year.

I was also told that they have been caught over the entire lake,,, from the river to the dam. I think I would concentrate on the Little Rocky end of the lake though for numbers.

So is it just a rumor making the rounds or has anyone else heard about the ridiculous bags coming out of PK from the little local tourneys? Five fish for 45lbs+ in a weeknight tourney? I would say it was BS but I've heard it from a a few different people over the past few months.

Jay... I was told by someone that lives on the lake that it's taking 22 to 26 pounds to win a tournament there. Someone's pulling your leg big time!!!

Was there over memorial day weekend and caught more 2,3,and 4 pounders in those 3 days than I have caught anywhere else in a longt time. couldn't tell you where I was tho, that was the first time I have ever fished it. Did catch them on Senkos and Ribbits. Good luck.

+1

PK is in great shape. Fish are biting all over the lake. Look at major creek arms and the fish should be on the move to the main lake. The fish I caught were biting jigs, soft plastics, swim baits and spinner baits.

The Rock creek area and North D&D have been dependable areas for me.

Taking 5 to the weigh-in occurs when opportunity meets successful execution of one's preparation.

Skeeterpiece..... Rock Creek is what I was trying to explain to you when I called it Rocky Creek. Micropterus is right on with his areas.
