so i went fishing today in my private pond that will stay private. I was using a Berkly purple with green tailed lizard(Texas rigged of course) so first cast of the day i accidentally cast from bank to bank and it gets stuck on a limb of a piece of brush. so as im fixing the massive birds nest the lizard falls into the water. the next second a bass jumps and snags my lizard and takes off. well low and behold the line snaps and i grab the end of it. I got him on dry land but the bank was a 90 degree drop with vegetation so i couldn't get to him. I'm pulling on the line and fish and the line snaps again comes flying back and hits me in the face and cuts me open and Mr bass flops back into the water. I'm going back for that damn bass tomorrow.

Is it me, or are you taking this a little too personal?

Moral of the story...Get better line..

ive got 8lb test vicious fluro carbon sad part is i can break it with my hand im thinking of switching back to spider wire mono 10 pound.

its not all that bad actually it just made me bleed that's all :0. I cant even find it when i look in the mirror.

When I drove diesel trucks the engines were governed so we could not over rev them. You need a governor on your reel to keep you from casting clean across the pond. Or better yet you need a bigger pond.

it may be small but no one knows about it so all the fish are decently sized to omg look at that fish. its more like a creek or river but its till got good sized fish so... I also have a habit of casting too hard.
