I took the yak out on Benbrook Friday evening. I am a rookie to Benbrook and hybrid fishing and I am still having trouble getting my fish finder to work, so all I know to do is troll and watch for surface action.

I have been out there several times but only managed to catch a couple of small crappie.

I finally got a hold of a decent sized hybrid. I think I had a double on, because the spoon trailer was gone when I got it in!

I know it is nothing to brag about but, I was happy to finally land the first of hopefully many more hybrids come!
Just under 4 lbs!

I guarantee you that your the only kayaker on Benbrook to land a hybrid from a kayak that day! I'd be proud.

Jake, did you launch your kayak from Longhorn Park last night (Thursday) at about six o'clock?

It's okay to brag when you catch a nice fish like that! Good job.

I don't have all the answers, but I'm a quick learner!
