 New Lure for Calaveras

Sunday, my son and I took my 7 year-old granddaughter out to Calaveras for some catfishing. We pulled up and anchored on our spot out in the middle of the lake and he tied a treble hook on her line and threw it over the side of the boat. While he was looking around in the boat for a stick to use for the Danny Kings punch bait, she was jigging the empty hook up and down. All of a sudden, off it took. She caught a 19 1/2 inch red on an empty hook. Maybe it's just her. She had 3 fish in the boat before either my son or I caught our first one.

Yep.
Same lake I fish for 8 hours for 1 (undersized) Red.
Go figure.
