6# Viscious High Vis for dock shooting/bridges/brushpiles
10# Viscious High Vis for Timbers

I love this line. No memory and is very strong. While fishing brush with BigMack last week I straightened the hook out twice after being hung up on the 6# test. It's all about the knot!

NOTHING beats Silver Thread Excalibur (only available at Cabelas ONLINE). I've tried them all, spider line, mono's (trilene XL, andes, MR. Crappie, Stren, Trilene XT, etc....). None can compare to Silver Thread Excalibur. Excalibur is 10x abrasion resistant & a lot easier to cast. Can't go wrong. I've introduced Excalibur to my friends, guess what? They all use Excalibur. Check it out at Cabela's online & read reviews from people who use it. Good luck

The lighter the thump – the less line you need – but for me it’s 12lb mono – in what ever is your favorite brand.

Why so strong – because I can still fell that little thump in 12lb. Plus I use a weak hook – that can straighten out with 12 lb.

Plus in 12 lb – YEA - we can get huge bass in and – guess what – a super huge flat head – that is just a real good happy medium – to catch all things.

I can still feel all things in the 12 lb and get most (NOT ALL) in, - You have to just find what works best – for your feel - and for that thump,

Mark, you say you use hooks that straighten out on a snag. Are those the sickle hooks?
