Palomar knot is the only knot to use.

The San Diego Jam worked best for me. I was breaking alot using a Palomar and read some line test a couple years back where they used the Palomar knots as the base and found that it has a much higher failure rate than first thought.
The San Diego Jam is easy to tie and does not tighten up on itself as alot of knots do.

I have been using a palomar but have had a few break-offs when I know I shouldn't have. Will switch to the SD Jam . And yes, I have been very meticulous on wetting and cinching the palomars down.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it !

Im with stacy and raybob. Just recently switched from the palomar to the san diego jam and I havent broke a knot since. I had a bad knot break problem with the palomar, as wet as you can get a knot. Go for the san diego jam, its a much better knot for flouro.
