I am looking for a place and methods to take the kids to cath photo and release some perch bream bluegill.

Can you folks help just want the kids to have some fun I have two kids and have a couple nephews that I would like to take out as well as my kids friends.

I hope that yall will help as for this is more about the kids and the future of fishing for them.

Thanks in advance. If you would rather PM me with some good places (long and lat) would help as well.

Lewisville fishing barge Is a good place to go. They have minnows and you can catch fish without getting dirty or muddy from he bank. Ive used canned sweet corn and small worms on a hook to catch Bluegills there. Ive also used the Berkley real fake corn. It works good but is more expensive than a can of sweet corn 50 cents at walmart.Have fun

I PM'd my fav. spots to take kids.

As far as technique, usually a pencil bobber with a small baitholder hook and small splitshot above it. Otherwise a small circle hook with no bobber and no weight for bedding bluegill. As far as bait goes, I like using a truly natural bait like earthworms or small shrimp combined with berkley power wiggler. The natural bait gets them hungry and the power wiggler stays on the hook so the kids don't instantly get their bait stolen. A little bit of chumming helps too.
