You are going to get so many responses....just get the one you like. I got the cranking stick from BPS....I like it and would buy another.

I just started buying a few Powell rods and have been very pleased with the results so far this year.

Anyone buy/use any of their cranking rods?

I have been throwing a Loomis crankin stick for a couple years and love it. I can throw the thing all day and not get burned out on it. I match it up with a low speed Curado 5:1/1 works good for me.. Some say it is better to throw a graphite rod to avoid premature hook set. the choice is yours, there are so many out there.

I've been really impressed by Dobyns cranking rods. I've had my eyes on the 2nd generation 705cb glass.

Falcon Cara Reaction CLC4-17 or CCB5-173 depending on what you're throwing.

There are many rods out there that would work well. It all depends on what your budget is. You will need to choose the rod length you like best. A 6-6 or 6-8 M action rod would be a good start. I like a 7ft rod or longer for cranks but I prefer a shorter rod for spinnerbaits so a 6-6 to 6-8 would put you in the middle.

You are talking about two totaly different type of baits to throw on one rod. You need a rod with more action and power for the spinnerbait and a rod with less action and power for the crankbait. If not you will lose fish because of this.
