 Anyone fish West Bay in Galveston?

I have a place in Sea Isle and am trying to pick out a new boat that will fish skinny enough to go to San Luis Pass. Anyone have any suggestions or info as to how shallow?

I don't know much about the area between Sea Isle and the Pass....I do know that the water in certain parts is very shallow and there are a lot of reefs in that complex. The places I've fished, I think about 6 feet was the deepest I could find....and not in very many spots.
