If there are fish elsewhere why must people fish over the fish I found. If i acted like half the people that fish today my father would still whoop my butt!!!!!!!!!
I don't know where people's common courtosy went.
shoot straight or run fast

I feel ya Brother. I was on Livingston Saturday and graphed a hump loaded with bait & whites. Stopped and threw out a buoy, and proceeded to whack them. Within 20 minutes I had 2 boats within 40 feet of my buoy and a center console that had trolled between me and my marker buoy (25'+/-) Within 45 minutes there were 5 or 6 pontoons trolling circles around me and another couple that had anchored and were casting within 5 feet of my boat. Sometimes folks simply amaze me Happens to me too. People think there are so many fish in school that you should share. About every hump and point on Livingston is holding fish right now so I just move on.

Buff,,Curly Dawg, I was out there Sat. Sun. and Monday and finally had to come over to see what the commotion was about at the 155. I couldn't imagine what the "floatilla" of boats was about. On Monday that was me in the pontoon boat trying to catch your left-overs. Caught a few crappie and a catfish but didn't get the hybrid action. I went back for the wife and grandson but fishing had shut down by the time we got back.
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!

potlicker deterrent plan B : Mexican Polka music, real loud. THEN put on your tinfoil hat and stare blindly while casting slabs across their boat continuously. If they've got kids in their boat, start swearing, real loud. Oh have a video camera ready, the looks you get are great!
.......or (plan A) you could politely ask for a little space..........

I fished the 155 bridge on Palestine today. There was a couple of young men 100 yards away waring out the sandbass. Within 20 minutes there were so many boats around them they couldn't fish. They had no place to cast. One fellow in a little flat bottom tied up between the young fellows and the bridge and let his boat drift right up to them. He kept his back to them and pretended not to notice. It was so sad it was funny. PS we caught around 100 Sandbass and 10 or 12 catfish where we were. I must look grouchy. Everybody left my spot alone We need to change your call sign to "Intimidator"... Hey, if it's working don't change the look.. Neat story

Conversational speaking distance is too close, unless you're having a conversation. And not one of those one-sided conversations where the other guy is just glaring at you. Shouting distance is about right. If you're slabbing, your circle is smaller. But the trollers, they just need to stay off in the distance. I really don't mind throwing my lure across somebody's lines if they're close enough. It's just an opinion.
