Went out yesterday on the northern part of the west arm and cleaned up! Had action from the get-go 'til we left after the storm. Brought home thirty-eight with fourteen of those in fourteen inch range (give or take a half an inch...hogs!) and threw back a couple dozen dinks on top of that, along with another three dozen sandies we tossed back. Eight bags in the freezer. Lake was busy of course and looked like everyone was filling their coolers. Nice sounds listening to the kids hooping and hollaring. What happened!

Posted my results in another post. Caught many, many crappie this morning but almost all were 9" dinks. fished the west arm. If the scary clouds wouldn't have run me off (I have this fear of lightening) it wouldn't gotten much better. Seems the later i fished, the more frequent the bite was coming. should be a good year for Crappie fishing.

Successful day for me too fishing timber on the west side of lake using a green/white tube jig 1/16 oz. Brought home 10 keepers plus several sand bass. Only problem I had was letting two nice fish get away at the boat. Also caught two fish I think they are called smallmouth buffalo that croaked at me like a catfish.

Yeah, heard that was kind of a bust. Too bad to, I'm sure there's a lot of legwork putting one of those together on the part of the coordinator. But regardless, getting together with good people is three-quarters the fun of any outdoor get-together so in that regard, not a loss at all.
