I'd like some ideas for a night light. I don't want to use a generator. Just want something safe, that puts out a lot of light, and can be fairly portable.
Thanks

I have a plug-in Q-Beam lying on my console at all times at night. I may not need it to see my way, I just want it handy to make sure the other guy (who may or may not be sober) sees me! Ialso use the cap bill lights and led battery operated laterns from Academy for $15-$18. For fishing, I have some green 12v LEDs from Buckhorn.

By the cheap clamp on lights and put DC Clamps on it and by an RV 12 volt bulb for it. Clip to batteries in the boat. I use this when fishing at night and also camping when I can't get a light over to the picnic table. Saves a lot of money and puts out lots of light.

I use amber LED lights on the boat which put out some decent light yet don't attract as many bugs. I also have clear ones rigged up to a separate switch if I need alot of light. A good headlamp is a must as it allows you to still be able to use your hands. For driving across the lake at night I also use a 3 million candlepower Q Beam.

I use a Q beam to see when I'm driving and a clamp light with an LED bulb to light the boat for fishing. I have a power inverter to plug the light into.

Sure Catch Lures makes a floating chum/bait container with a built in LED light. Its called the Tri-Way Fish Attractor. Its pretty awesome and work very well. I believe you can find them at www.estacyinventorsandinvestors.com

The coleman flourescent lanters work really well and last a good amount of time on batteries.
I may not always be right but I'm never wrong.

I am thinking of puting led lights along the inside rails of my boat. Is this a good idea or does it eat up your batteries
Nothing better than a day on the lake.

Use leds ($$$) and put a switch on them so you can turn 'em on and off easily. Even leds will use up your battery. Don't use the cranking battery. You can buy them in the rope lights.

I use led's mounted along each side of the deck under the side rails. I use red for fishing and blue for mood effect when I take GF to the lake. Plus a led cap light and a q-beam spot for running. If your talking about in the water I use two green 12V tube lights. Jim

I do a lot of night fishing, mostly when some friends and I spend a weekend camping and fishing on the bank. Sometimes we hook up a propane lantern, but most of the time we make do with Headlamps.
Energizer actually make a real cheap one, sold at Wal Mart, that is very powerful. Several settings and very bright. Highly recommended.
