The other day I saw the Game Warden get ahold of a group using a couple of nets out at Murrell back at fishing trail #7. Me and my boy had walked down that closed off road across from them and heard the GW start yelling something to the effect of, "As I said before multiple times, you can only use nets to catch baitfish!"

My Dad always said,"Son, the most important things you will ever do in life always start with grabbing your rod."

Pretty common at Murrell these days...I actually will not mind when they finally start charging for park access. Hopefully keep the poachers out...

Whew! Been busy, so haven't been out to the lake in a while. Might head out tomorrow for a bit if I'm not too tired. I heard the water came up almost another foot, so that should mean more flooded grass and hopefully more bass.

I'm glad the GWs are patrolling around Murrell now. I just added the Game Thief hotline to my cellphone in case I see anything illegal.

I'll be gone for Memorial Weekend and will busy that following week, but after that I'll try to hook up with some of you guys for a lil' fishin'

Has anyone had any luck lately putting in at Trophy Club park and going up river? Last time I was out, it was low and slow, but we've had rain since then.
