Hi WaterLovers,

I'm a Texoma fan being forced to LL and need a tip on good ramps. I've not been to LL for years and my Topo map is 5 years old. I'm coming from Plano so East side of lake would be my preference.
My map shows large uncleared area on E side of lake and I'd like to avoid that (I'm in a bowrider, not a bass boat)

I don't see any ramps on the east side of the lake - my map may be outdated.

Thanks for any info.

Thanks Zeek,

I should have specified - I need a courtesy dock; I'll be launching by myself - except for my dog.
Does Hidden Cove have a pickup dock?

Little Elm does and it's a free launch.

You need to launch at Stewart Creek park. You pay for a yearly sticker and you can launch there and tie up to the courtesy dock.
Here is the link with pictures and the annual fee schedule. Just watch out coming out of the park, the first stop sign is where the Colony police set up. Make a complete stop every time or you will be pulled over and ticketed.

Thanks for the input - I'm glad I posted cuz the link I found for LL access differs a bunch from the info you guys have given.

http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fishboat/fish/recreational/lakes/lewisville/access.phtml

It shows Little Elm and Stewart creek have nodock. Wonder how much more is wrong??

I thought about Stewart Creek, but that looks really shallow and narrow to get over to the main part of the lake. Any advice on maneuvering thru that skinny canal?

Both Hidden Cove and Stewarts Creek have courtesy docks. No problme with navigation or timber at either site. The "canal" you mention is at least 100 yds wide andd water is plenty deep.

Hidden Cove has a courtesy dock & a very intelligently designed boat ramp. Very easy for a solo boater to use. You can get an annual pass from them, although I don't recall the price.

Not knocking the other ramps listed, I just like this one.

You might want to launch at Arrowhead Park. It is just off I-35E, just south of the city of Lake Dallas. There is a dock and the fee is $6.

Hey, Fishin nut,

Where is Little Elm? It's not a Corp ramp, so it's not on my map

Address to LE Park.
100 Eldorado pkwy., 101 , Little Elm, TX 75068
75068

Head west on Eldorado once you get into LE you will see a Quickie Mart "Johnny Joes" on the left at the light. Go through the light and the park will be on the right. If you cross the bridge you have gone too far.

I hear Navo creek ramp is nearly deserted this time of year... huh
LoL, JK!

LE ramp is free, but usually packed full of fools just like all the others.

I launch my deck boat solo all the time at Stewart Creek. Nice courtesy dock there and I have never had a problem with anybody messing with my truck there.
