heres a fly I thought i'd share for it's simplicity
---WORMY---
offset worm hook
70 denier thread
bunny strip

1. put hook in vise, tie on thread


2. get a bunny strip

3.measure it to the hook. should be at bend of the hook and tie it weedless onto the front of the shank


tie off thread and...
your done!
I tie this in ten colors

Nice. Now I have something to do with the 1000 or so offset worm hooks that I don't use any longer.

Pondbass, great use of materials. Simplicity is the beauty of tying sometimes (that does not include Atlantic Salmon flies smile )

Now imagine putting a plastic worm on that hook. That would be something that the big old Sage Largemouth fly rod could handle. That is not related to this thread but the opportunity to illuminate a point arose so I took it; kinda like how like old bass will rise to opportunities!

Pondbass, I have seen a slightly different version of this. Coat the skin or leather side of the bunny strip with a clear, flexible adhesive, then before the adhesive dries sprinkle glitter on it. You can coat the entire surface or just the head or tail.
