are there any rock bass in the guadalupe river because we got a vacation place down there on the river and i only catch bass and trout and panfish. we are located i seguin and i am willing to travel to any parks or public areas to fish? any help appreciated

If by rock bass you mean actual rock bass (Ambloplites rupestris), there should be none. There is a small introduced pocket of them in the San Marcos river, but they are not a fish of Texas.

If, by rock bass you mean warmouth (Lepomis gulosus) there will be plenty.

If by rock bass, you mean something else, I'm not much help.

Guadalupe Bass have been called "Rockies", and if that is what you are looking for they are very plentiful throughout Canyon Lake, and Lake Dunlap and pretty much anywhere on the Guadalupe. If you are catching trout that means you are below canyon damn. Move up to the big pond or up stream from the Lake around Rebecca Creek

i mean actual rock bass. i was just wondering because on the texas parks and wildlife stream and river records it showed there was some in the guadalupe river

I never caught one there, but you never know. Get out on the water and give it a go. I have caught a lot of rocks on white micro-plugs.
