Would there be an interference problem running two Eagle Fishmarks at the same time? The back transom mount transducer will be running a 480,
and the front is on a trolling motor about 17' away feeding to a 320. I've had a problem before running a flasher and a graph at the same time, but never tried the combo listed above. I know we can just try it and see but figured some of you guys already did it and know the answer.

Thanks,

Jon

That is the exact same setup I have, and I have had no problems.

I have a lowrance x15 on the dash and an eagle up front, 19 ft away and I do get a little interference when I am in deeper water. Not enough to not be able to read the units, just enough to put lines on the screens. This usually occures in 17ft of water or more. I think you can get diffrent transducers with diffrent frequencies (or somthing like that) that would eliminate that problem...

No problems with my 480 on the back, and my 320 on the bow...it will work just fine.

Jon,
I am running two 320's (front and back) on my 17.5 ft tracker. I get enough interference to cause vertical lines, but as mentioned above, you can still read the graph. Hope this helps.

I wrote Lowrance with that question some time ago and here is their response copied from my email. Since Lowrance and Eagle are very similar here ya go!

==================================

Thank you for your inquiry.

There is potential for interference if the transducer cone angles cross over each other. The base of the cone angle is one third of your depth. For example: in 15 feet of water the base of the cone angle would be 5 feet in diameter. As long as the base of the other transducer falls out of the 5 foot area there would be no problem. So the greater your depth the more this potential increases. Furthermore the greater sensitivity of these newer units will pick up on those additional signals even outside of that central cone.

To avoid this to a point, you can adjust the ping speed, so the units are not transmitting at the same rate. You can also turn the sensitivity down a bit to decrease the cone angle of the transducers.

Built in transducer vs. strap onto the trolling motor, you will see very little difference. These transducers operate on the same frequency and have the same cone angles. Performance wise, both types of transducers work very well.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.

Thinking of this combo for a new, upcoming boat. X-125 on the bow, trolling motor transducer mount, and LCX-17M at the console, transducer at stern, both freshwater single freq 200khz. 1. Any recommendations on reducing transducer cross-talk/interference other than turning one off? 2. What is your recommendation on using a built-in trolling motor 200khz transducer versus the strap-on factory trolling motor transducer, in terms of performance? Thanks!> >
