A black hawk heli did that to me on Belton one afternoon. I got off early around 11 and headed to the lake for some afternoon fishing before I had to get the kids. The funny thing was that I never heard him until they were sitting right on top of me watching me fish!!! lol That is one amazing piece of technological wonder!! I know those guys wish they were doing what I was doing though!! Gave me one heck of a scare too! But to be buzzed like that I prob would've carped my pants!! lol lol

There's nothing like the "sound of freedom", even while you're fishing.

Way back in the day my dad and I would fish for sandies out there watching the B52s when it was still Carswell. He was a retired airforce mechanic and I swear he could tell you bout every nut bolt or rivet on those B52s...Ahhh fond memories.

Bachman is crazy with the planes flying over your head as well.

That area where you were fishing is one of my staple spots. I too have quite often "felt the wrath" of these jets. There have been times I've literally ducked (and felt pretty silly afterward). :-)

That's awesome. When I was in the Marine Corps we were training in Jordan and our CO knew the Huey pilots that were training with us. He got them to fly right over us, about 15 yds over the ground! It was really cool.

I have been in and out of a ton of helos too and seen lots of cool stuff from harriers landing on a small ship, f18s taking off and landing on an LHD (not a carrier, smaller), and lots of other cool stuff.

My dad, brother, and I was fishing Toledo Bend back in the late 70's. We was out in the middle of the lake fishing some isolated trees. It was a hot, still, bluebird day. We heard a rucous that sounded like a bomb had gone off. We was all about to carp our britches. Had no clue what it was. The next day, same spot about the same time of day. I was turned around the other way. I saw two nats in the sky. Before I could blink those nats buzzed over those trees not but 10'-20'. I turned around the other way and they was gone. If I had'nt been turned that way we would still be wonderin what that sound was. That just rumbles through your whole body.
