8+ That fish is dark and looks fairly old.

Do you know and just want us to guess or do you not know?

WOW...guesses range from 5 to 10 pounds. This was a five pound fish. It was super fat but it shows how deceiving a picture can be when you don't know the length.

And for the carpet bashers. LMAO. The fish was lying on the carpet due to a snake that had a Nitro fetish. My boat had drifted into some grass where two snakes were stationed who were not happy. They had my attention for over a minute or this fish would have never got the carpet treatment. I wasn't taking a picture because the fish was a trophy, I was taking a picture of the fish due to the deep scars it had near its tail. The other side of the fish had some deeper cuts.
After I took the picture I noticed how big the fished looked and I wanted to show how deceiving a picture could be.

And this is why I have been on this forum for 6 years with less than 200 posts. Too many folks that seem to know everything. If this would have been photo where I stated the weight, some would have second guessed.

Reminds me of the guy who posted on here holding the biggest bass of his life and he wasn't smiling. Someone made a negative comment about why he didn't smile. He politely reminded them that the muscles in his face did not work due to him being stabbed in the neck.

Fish on.

Nice fish. Must of been caught on the lower end of the lake around hydrilla in 7 - 10 foot. Only place I have ever caught one that dark, that I can remember.

Dont you get to add a pound if you catch it on Fork?

I was raised to measure the length and girth and use the formula (Length x Girth 1,200).

You can use this link to calculate size.
http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores...p;storeId=10151

Fish 1, 7.44lbs (24inch long 15.5 girth)
Fish 2, 8.65lbs (25inch long 16.6 girth)
Fish 3, 8.75lbs (25inch long 16.7 girth)

I thought that I had a 10 pound bass. The measurements proved other wise.

These bass were caught last week on JOE POOL Lake. All three were caught on the same lake point, in the same depth of 15ft with in 20 yards of each other. All three had spawned and had the cuts and scrapes to prove it. Not bad for playing hookie on a Tuesday!

If your poles not bendn your just pretendn
