Hi, Fisherman & woman,
Just bought a combo from Cabela's (6'6" Medium Light, Shimano Sahara spinning reel) & decided to go to Grapevine. Very excited to try the new combo. Got to my favorite spot. As I was pulling out the rod out of the boat's rod storage, the wind blew & close the lid. Guess what? The tip of the rod was still inside the rod compartment. The tip snapped & man I was furious. I could think of every curse word there is in the english dictionary. I wanted to try out the new combo so BAD & did not have the chance. That was indicative of my fishing day for the day. Just wanted to vent! Comments welcome.

That's a bad day.

My worst was walking a mile to fish. Problem was, when I got there, I didn't have any lures.

I had that happen a couple of weeks ago. This morning woke up to get to the lake early, will I get just about ready to put the in water and my ignition switch breaks on me. So I mist the morning fish.

Yep...a few trips ago everything I touched went wrong. After about an hour I sat down and laughed...decided to go home before my luck ran out smile smile

Man, I hate it when my angels miss coming fishing with me to help out...

My longtime fishing buddy steped on my 11 ft lamiglass surf rod and snapped it like a twig.

You can't have a great day without enduring several bad days. I know how you feel about a new combo, I bought a new Pfleuger outfit, took it home, was in the process of rigging it up and lifted it up right into the ceiling fan!

I forgot to strap my rods down one morning, I was going across the lake saw my rods bounce but before I could stop one rod set up dropped overboard. $400.00 rod and reel fell over the side. Tried slabbing it back up but never found it, so I can feel your pain.
