Talk about not being able to hide your favorite honey holes.... Heard the signal can not be jammed like I found out with my HB unit by folks whom wish to keep their spots from spying eyes... Hey Sabot. I haven't seen you post any photo's of my condo's yet so my sonar scramblers must be working. I did use energizer batteries this time. They just came out with the new SI jammer chip last month. Works just like the previous version but this one is much cheaper and the batteries last twice as long. Walmart had couple left this week. I started attaching them to all my brush piles this month. Below is an example of the chip at work and what is returned when you encounter one.

When I last spoke with the guy at BPS...2 months ago... He informed of Lowrance side imaging (He confirmed that his boss actually saw one at first hand, and not just a rumor anymore)...Well, I had to take the guy word in good faith hoping that Lowrance finally came around.
The current HD units are available for upgrade (add-on) side imaging feature.. at something like 100-200
I didn't want to take a chance on $2500 until all the bugs are worked out. But I am telling you, if it's anything like what we have heard (or see here)...HB is in serious trouble
As great as the side imaging has been for HB, their 2D sonar is still very PRE-HISTORIC!!! and no where near the quality of Lowrance!
Hope all is true and that we will at least have great help-tools that actually worth the $$$
I am starting to save my $$$ for this one...

To get too excited, the above is a picture from the lab... remember... the low down is that Lowrance licensed the tech from HB... From what I have seen, its the same as HB. Time will tell...

Oh man, that's it, the dirt bike is up for sale and the trailer with it. Wonder if BPS will take it in trade? I gotta have it.

Same pic as an HB just a different color...Those controlled lab pics shown on a computer always look like they are in your living room...The challenge is to learn to interpret it on the water when it doesn't look that good...

That makes more sense now. So, HB is now getting a kickback on each SI enabled lowrance unit. Smart on HB's part! I think I will then have to see what the biggest screen I can get for the cash. I'm sure they'll all be around the same price range.

T2GF, Did you take a picture in the mirror? If you look closley it actually is someone we all know and love that hangs around Granger Lake quite frequently.

Bet they wont be cheap....
Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

I don't see a difference by just looking at that one photo. My 1197 shoots a pretty clear picture. It's gonna take more to convince me it's better. Let's see some more pics.
