Cranking Rip Rap is the best Big Fish pattern I have to offer that yields any consistency on Ray Hub. You just have to figure out how deep to fish. I have my best production staying about 30ft off the rocks throwing up shallow well ahead of the boat and bringing the crank down slope. You want to reel just fast enough to keep the bait digging and bouncing of the rocks. Most strikes occur just after a slight pause when the bait deflects off a rock.
I have had good luck with 300 series Bandit or 1/2oz Fat Free Shad, Norman Deep "N" Mid Depth cranks this time of year in Citrus or Tenn Shad patterns and Pearl depending on Water clarity and available light conditions. You could also try throwing a Swim-bait down the Rip Rap.
You can catch some decent fish off marina docks with a shakey head or drop shot on the reeds up in the power-plant discharge area coves. Good Colors are Red-bug, Blue-fleck, Green Pumpkin. Wat-Mln Red or Candy, Tequila and June-bug Red.
Good Luck and Give Us a Report when you get back!

I concur Bazz. But.... You might try Frogs in the River right about now, as it gets later in the Year that bite will dwindle-then pick You up a smallie Beav and soak it along the Grass Mats( being sure to pay close attention to the Curves along the River) The thicker the Mat the better- just change Your Weight up and You'll be Fine. Ray Hubbard is in great shape as far as Water Level. No navigation problems in and around the River. Its just a good area to Fish on Hubbard
