Well I hit the vine today with my friends in search of some sandies and cats. Started off way slow and only boated two sandies! We didn't keep them but they were keeper size. After we fished for bout two hours we headed to the north end of the lake to catfish. When we arrived then shortly later the WORLD RECORD WAS NEARLY CAUGHT!!!!! The water started boiling and all we saw was rapid movement in front of us. It would slow then speed back up. Water was moving every where! We launched slabs in the direction of the churning water. Then all of a sudden the water calmed. Then out of know where it boiled up again. This was covering a very large area. We launched our slabs again. One of my buddys screamed I got I got it's a big one. He started reeling it in. His line was really tight and he was having trouble staying in the boat. My other buddy grabbed him by the shirt as he was almost launched into the water by this big one! The one with the pole sat in the chair with his back against the backrest trying to catch his breath. He asked my other friend to take over as he was getting tired and not making much head way landing this one. Our boat was not anchored yet and this thing was moving our boat out to deeper water. We were probably being pulled bout one or two miles per hour. This thing was huge. The water continued to boil all around us. At this point the original friend took his pole again. We were in deeper water and my buddy said man might be jaws or something. Did make us wonder there are fresh water sharks you know. Then something strange happen this thing started heading towards the bank in a rapid manner. Finally the beast surfaced all the way along with four other large creatures. The large sea beast was a DEER WITH A SLAB CAUGHT ON ITS BACK SIDE!!!!!! When the deer made it to shore the line broke and all of the deer ran off into the woods!!!!! A very crazy day on the lake and one that we will always remember!!!!!

wow, now thats a story. them things are weird sometimes. i was fishing at eagle mountain and one came swiming by me. i never seen her get in the water. she came from behind me. i was fishing on the north side across from the damn. i dont know where she got in but i think she had been swiming awhile. i see deer all the time at eml and worth, but this one i swear swam across the lake about it's widest point.

The only wooded area I have been into while bank fishing was near Dove Loop and there were tons of deer tracks and some type of large cat tracks
